My life as of TODAY!!

Hello all :)

It's been awhile. We've been threw some hard times the past week or so. We've had to put our little Shih Tzu down last Friday. He slipped a disc on Tuesday and we battled and tried nursing him for 4 days and it was sooo hard!!! I couldn't imagine or even stand watching the dog like this. He wasn't himself....no chasing birds or butterflies, no grooming, no wagging of the tail, nothing....not even trying to hump anything!! YES, he did this daily..LOL!! Thanks to my bestest friend in the world Jill for being there with me EVERYDAY at the vet. She called me daily and helped me do whatever I needed. If it wasn't for her I couldn't have done this. Brady stayed very uninvolved due to the fact that he knew this was going to happen. He didn't want to get emotionally involved with the dog. He actually made the trip to the vet to send him on his way to heaven with Pappy!! I can only imagine my dad with that dog. He's probably in heaven calling the dog a rag mop or a mangy mutt but lovingly of course!! LOL

We're in full swing of baseball season! Dustin's 3 game is today!! It rained today so hopefully we'll be able to get it in!! He's the pitcher/catcher and has been hitting really well. Hit one in the park home run and 2 triples. He's doing well. Dustin does have a girlfriend, which is odd. She's one of my friends daughters. Do I think it'll last?? HELL NO! But I think it's funny!!

Cameron's full fledge teenager, challenging me to everything! His hair is so long (well aren't all the boys wearing there hair really long now). I figured I'll let him win this battle because I will win the war when it comes down to it. He's made the honor roll all 3 semesters and really like Jr. High. Cameron is so witty and funny! He can come up with the funniest things. He is ALL the girls best friends. But no girlfriend, he doesn't want one. He doesn't want to have to "tend" to them!! I agree!!

Chase is well...Chase!! My baby!! We went to Kennywood on Saturday and after begging to play games my friend took him to play a game and didn't he win the biggest prize at the park. After that he was ready to leave. Typical kid~ I'm done shopping. Let's go home!! LOL!! But he carried it around then I took it to the car and picked up some sweatshirts because it was getting cold. I just absolutely love Kennywood....i love roller coaster. Just the thrill of climbing a huge hill and the pressure in your chest and giggling till you pee your pants a little bit!! LOL.

I think that's the update for us! Not much as gone on. I'll attach some pictures of some thing that has been going on :)

Jenn :)

Okay Okay Karen! You've got me!!! I'll update!!

Each person tagged gives 7 random facts about themselves. Those tagged need to write in their blogs the 7 facts, as well as the rules of the game. Update

Hello all

First I'll start out with wishing everyone a Happy Holiday's. It get so busy this time of the year, we sometimes forget what it's all about. Take time and soak it all in while the kids are young.

I went out shopping on Black Friday and finished most of my shopping. Chase and Dustin are nearly done (Dut wants a Reggie Bush jersey yet) and Cameron, well he's my hard one. Being 13 he has no idea what he wants and i have no idea what to get him. He wants a new gaming system but with 3 of them in this household already dad said NO.

The boys are playing basketball. Chase has started on Saturday, he's really liking it and he's practicing at the gym everyday when dad drops off Dustin for his traveling team. Dustin plays the elementary basketall plus tried out for the traveling team. He did make it and now they have practice every night. They do need it and need to learn to play together and learn about all the penalities and foul shots. He has an excellent coach. Cameron didn't try out for the Jr. High School team, they had 40 kids go and try out and he was very intimidated by it. They made those kids run until some of them threw up. I guess it's their way of weeding out who wants it but Cameron doesn't want it that bad. Cameron did make the Honor Roll this semester. I was very proud of him! He did work hard for it and succeeded greatly.

Other then that, not much is going on. Need to get ready for our annual Christmas Cookie Exchange this Saturday. Been cleaning and cooking and baking all week. Tomorrow will be my crunch time. I will making some crab balls/chicken balls/ puppy chow and other goodies for Saturday. We also have 2 basketball practices that day too. YIkes...busy busy!

We're going ot the Steelers game on Sunday. Oh gosh, it's going to be cold...38 degrees!! It has been in the 60's all week and tomorrow there is supposed to be bad winds and winter coming in! Why oh why couldn't it wait TWO more days?!? I need to get the long underwear out along with handwarmers and such. We always have fun tailgating and eating so that's what I look forward too!

My husband bought me a new purse for Christmas if finally arrived yesterday. I was starting to worry! I like it alot, it's much bigger then what I thought but i'm sure I'll fill it. I'm very ashamed on how much I paid for it but it's a once in a lifetime thing. It'll last me forever!! Only a few ladies know how much i paid ;)

Other then that, we're as busy as ever and would like to slow down soon but ya know I'd miss it it if we did. At least we aren't sitting around watching TV!!!

TTFN :)

Close Encounters of the "Bear" Kind

Hello all,

Haven't blogged in awhile and I have LOTS to say! First off, I'll tell ya about the title of the blog. Two days ago, my shihtzu dog was barking at 2 a.m. in the morning and wouldn't shut up for anything. So dh gets out of bed to see what's going on. Yep, you guessed it a HUGE black bear in our front yard dragging the garbage can across the yard and plopping himself down and eating out of the bag! Wow, what a site. DH jumps in bed and tells me about it, I watch it from my picture window (not even 10 feet away from the bear). So I decide to get a BRIGHT idea and go out onto the deck and take some pictures!! Well, it didn't even realize we were there. After 15 minutes of watching it on the deck, dh thinks it's going to be a pain to clean up ALL that garbage and proceeds to the kitchen to get pots and pans and bag them together to stop the bear. You think that worked?? NO, it just got the bear ANGRY as it started to walk towards us. We run into the house and lock the door then watch it some more out of the picture window. As bright as we are again, we decide to go BACK out to the deck to watch it and hear some other noises behind my car, you guessed it! Another bear!! The first bear stands on it's hind legs it goes at least 7 feet tall and leans against the front tree and makes some noises! The other bear left but did leave some nice teeth marks on our garbage can. As the other bear is still now standing 7 feet tall against the tree, we go inside and wake the boys up to tell them what's going on and they watch from the picture window. NOT outside!! Dh and I proceed to wonder what we should do because it is TERRORIZING our garbage everywhere. We go BACK outside on the deck and dh throws something at it. It looks up at us and start walking towards us again!! Yeah we're not bright but it was adventurious! After 15 minutes, it walks away and goes down over our hill and we can't see it no more. We tucked the kids back into bed and go back to bed ourselves. The next morning there is a HUGE pressed down patch of grass where the bear must have taken comfort in all night. Wow, exciting. I'll attach pictures but all you see is the EYES!! This was all happening when our HUGE spotlight was on too. It was as bright as daylight out!!

This was the same day as my little babies birthday. I can NOT believe he is 7!! He is just so preciously adorable and I can't imagine him being 7 years old. He is still my snuggler, cuddler and most self sufficient little one I have!! I will also attach a picture of him on his birthday!!

Dustin is still doing really well in school. He is doing well in football, he's quarterback now. They lost today but he did score a touchdown in a quarterback keeper! The opposing team had 4 td's and we had 3 td's. We only have 2 more games left of youth ball and Dustin will go to Jr. High School ball next year. That's when I give up my position on the board for youth league. I will miss everyone dearly and the interaction with different organizations is great but it's time to move on to bigger and better things.

Cameron is having a hard time adjusting to Jr. High! He is just learning how to get his own schedule down and take his responsibilities on. They have something call EdLIne in our school district where we can track there grades and homework from day to day and it gives us ALL the teachers email address to contact. Believe me, I will be doing this. In one week Cameron went from and A to a C in two classes!! NOT going over well in our household!! How do we teach responsbilities? ONly thing I can do is hold him accountable for his actions and help him along!!

Dh got a new job this week. He's foreman of his shift! He's over seeing 30 something people for the afternoon shift. Big Big change for him. He has to dress up and he's home later in the afternoon but he does have his own desk and freedom comes as it goes on. We did get him alot of new clothes for his job at GoodWill you'll never believe the deals we got!! All of his dress pants are Dockers and he got Nike Polo Shirts/ Columbia/ Ambercrombie & Fitch / American Eagle. Lots of things...he's very happy with his wardrobe now.

As for me, work is going fine. Nothing exciting just trying to keep up with everyone else in my family.

Hello all,

Just thought I'd post a quick blog. Kids got their homeroom assignments today. Everyone is very happy with their teachers (with a little help from mom). There are some teachers in that school, i just don't want my kids to have and the two it is, is the two my kids had the opportunity to get this year. Well, not if I have anything to do with it. Cameron has the same homeroom teacher in Jr. High that I did. He was just starting when I started and now he's probably finishing up and ready to retire. Tonight is 1st grade orientation for Chase, they built a new school this year so it'll be the first time I've been in it since they ripped the old building down. Then tomorrow is Jr. High orientation for Cameron. This is the one that I'm stressed out about. Cameron is really nervous about the conjoining of the elementary school and making new friends and learning the whole 7-period schedule thing. I know he'll do fine but it's just the learning of the new!

Dustin's football team finally won a game...well out of two. He scored a touchdown! He was REALLY happy and did a cute little happy dance in the end zone. I was doing the "sticks" on the side line. I swear i'm the only mom that likes to do that. You're closer to the game then the coaches. They can't even leave the little "box"...I can! Can't cheer once we get to the 30 yard lines which kills me when my son has the ball but it's fun!!

Other then that, we have football pictures tonight, I'm going to take my camera and try to take some pictures of the kids! Then I'll post some more. I found a cute picture of the boys at the Butler Fair, I'll post it today!

Other then that, once school starts next Thursday things will calm down for me and we'll get on our "schedule" believe it or not, I love the schedule! I will start back to work and the kids will be in bed a reasonable time.

Football...

Football has now begun! That means running around for me. They have been practicing in pads for about two weeks now and their first scrimmage against OUR older team was yesterday. I was so proud of our boys, we whooped their butts. Dustin didn't get sacked once and we fumbled the ball about 6 times!! Wednesday we scrimmage another team on their field, I hope the boys are on top of their game like they were yesterday. Saturday is the BIG day, our first real game on our field. So that means Saturday I'll be a nervous wreck and VERY tired from running around the field. Our league does own a golf cart but hhmmm, no one seems to know where it is!?! This picture is of Dustin at the field, holding a furby he found. I actually think Chase took this picture...

Brady's actually at the field right now installing electric in the shed to put some freezer and refridgerators in so we don't have to use coolers all the time. All THREE boys are still sleeping. After practice yesterday, we had a very relaxing day. I'm hoping today is just the same. We'll probably lounge in the pool and Brady and I have a meeting tonight.

Chase got his orientation letter yesterday for 1st grade. He's so excited and ready to go...I think we're going shopping next Sunday for clothes. Chase is the only one that REALLY needs it, he has grown soo TALL! The other boys need new shoes and maybe book bags but that's about it.

My mother's been at my brothers for at least a week now, not sure what sparked that. I think she just wanted to get away from me? Who knows!!

I've gotten a nasty cold this week and called the doctor for some medicine, he gave me antibiotics. They seem to be kicking in but I'm still coughing a whole lot!

Gotta run!!

Wow, it's been awhile! We're actually finished our baseball season. Overall we came in first place but in the play offs we came in 3rd. Traveled to Washington County for a traveling tournament, got our butts whooped but then also did the Jr. International Tournament in our little town of Freeport. Those baseball games are fabulous. I love watching the older kids play against China/Holland/Brooklyn. Just their chanting and ways of playing is great to watch! Dustin was just amazed that one of the kids from Brooklyn had a set of "grillz". My son is NOT shy at all, was hanging out with them and actually was a bat boy for one of their games. It's just such a great town thing we do around here and I look forward to it every year!

Our football season has NOW begun! This is probably my favorite season. I do love to watch football, any kind...varsity, youth, professional! All of it! Dustin tried out for quarterback this year and IS quarterback. Sheesh, more pressure put on my poor child. He's a great qb but not sure he'll be able to handle the stress. I have full confidence in him that he'll do great and he IS the best qb on the team but he just puts too much pressure on himself.

Cameron is still his relaxed old self. He doesn't do to much, Yu Gi Oh on Thursdays and he likes to swim. He doesn't like organized sports because it's too competitive for him. He doesn't have that kind of nature in him. He likes to play video games and swim.

Chase is becoming a real pistol!! He comes to football practice everyday and plays with all the siblings...for awhile before pads were put on he was helping one of the coaches coach. He had a whistle and everything but it got to hot for him. So he just stayed up with me and play Power Rangers on a blanket, or follows me around while i do my business.

Brady's back on daylight shift. After so long of the kids NOT sleeping and my mother swearing she heard someone trying to break into my house at 4:00 in the morning, I couldn't take it anymore. Morning shift isn't bad, we just don't have alot of time together. He comes home, we eat and we're at football (he coaches). Then home, eat, shower and bed!

My birthday was great!! All the team moms and board members had a little party at the field for me with cheesecake, balloons and chocolate cake. It was nice of them to think of me!! Today I'm going for my manicure/pedicure from my husband (2:00). Granted, I scheduled it and did everything but he gave me the "go ahead".

Been working at the daycare 2/3 times a week, I swear the only thing I bring home is a good cold. My throat always hurts and strept is going around there. But hey, it's a couple extra bucks a week. Today and tomorrow I'll be there in the morning.

That's it for us!!
